Help with chiller circuit pipework installation.
I have been given the task of installing a chiller circuit to provide cooling to 3 machines. There are 2 chillers with inlets and outlets and they also want 2 plate heat exchengers installing in series.
Can anyone shine some light on how to do this as im new to this.
Thanks.

Re: Help with chiller circuit pipework installation.
Connect the 2 chillers via a circulating pump to a chilled water buffer vessel sized according to the chiller loads.
Install flow swiches on both chillers. Install balancing valves or use a reverse return layout.
Connecting the 2 PHE in series will provide two different heat loads as the second unit will have the higher temperature chilled water.
Anyway, provide a second pumped circuit to the PHEs from the buffer vessel.
I'm sure that others will come up with other/better ideas but that should give you the basics.
Or, try a little reading first...thanks to Google..

Hi Tom
a sketch is worth a thousand words, can you post any further details. Flow rates , temps, Kw duties forecasted.
