Leak detection

What solution do you prefer for leak detection: UV fluorescent leak detector dye or electronic detector? Why?

Electronic detector, it would take too long for the dye to show up unless it was already in the system.
I'd start looking for oil stains, listen for sounds of escaping refrigerant, and check with bubbles first, then electronic if nothing showed up, then dye if nothing showed up.
