Dean you can't expect people to do the course for you!!!!!!

Ask what you need and we'll see what we can do.

    Where is this last question?

An introduction and a brief explanation would be polite!!

    A two stage industial plant.............

Because some systems work at low temperature the pressure
differance between the suction and discharge is too great foer it to be
    done in one compression process.

So they use a two stage or compound system.

One compressor pumps low pressure refrigerant to a second compressor
which then completes the compression process.

On some systems that two stage / compound process can be done with one
multi cylinder compressor. The low pressure cylinders deliver intimediate
pressure to the high pressure cylinders.

    All the best
