Candy Fridge freezer

Hi, I have a candy fridge freezer and had it a couple of years. It has always made some odd sounds but recently they have stopped. But also I have an orange flashing light, I have no idea what it means, but if I turn the temp dial to super it stops flashing and stays on. But more worryingly the fridge is occassionally freezing things but the freezer is defrosting.
If I turn the dial to 0 then back to 2 the light goes off and seems to work better for a couple of hours.

Sorry all this is a bit vague but has anyone got any ideas?
