    Grasso 12E

    Hi everyone,
For compressor Grasso 12E is it necessary to change (valves, springs and damper rings) for discharge valves and suction valves as preventive maintenance at 12000 running hours?.
    Thanks

    Hi Mre212.
    With Ammonia at 12,000hrs yes!
    Halocarbon at 12,000 hrs no!
They should of been changed at 9,000hrs.

Operating conditions should also influence the number of hours.
To make progress is never good enough, I want to do better and better and better

    Re: Grasso 12E

Basically if the comp is worked hard. It may be necessary to change components earlier than the recommended intervals.
If you choose to ignore the service intervals, thats your choice!

If as you state you are new to this equipment then the recommended service interval is a good place to start.

All Grasso manuals are freely available on-line.
Follow the link and how to do things will be explained. (Scroll through the options on the left hand side of the page.)
However if you have not got the special tools necessary, you may struggle.
