I have a friend with a True TSSU-72-14 sandwich cooler. A few years ago it clogged a cap line. I found a leak, fixed it, changed the oil in the compressor, changed the cap line, filter drier, and upgraded to electronic temp control. Pressure tested and weighed in the charge (R134a). It ran fine after that. Like I said this is my good friend.

Recently it holds 41 to 45 F. I stopped by cleaned the coils. I pulled the charge weighed it back in. It's not clogged and not leaking. Getting good cool suction line but it just can't do it. Think the compressor (1/2 HP) is tired it's about ten years old.

I don't deal with refrigerators, but I want to help him out. I know this 134a crap is junk. Normally I say scrap it. What do you guys think?

Any help would be great. Thanks
