Hefty Call out Charge
Dear All,
Please advice if i've been ripped off for paying £460 for the call out and repair job. It's a single door fridge less than 8 months old.
Any suggestion,please ?

Re: Hefty Call out Charge
I think my local take away rips me off, everytime i get something there it costs £20/£30 but i can get a sandwich at the corner shop for £1.99.
Need more info,
Commercial or domestic?
What model?
What was wrong?
How long to find fault?
How much was part?
Travel/mileage?
Labour?
Parking (fines also)?
Are you an awkward or rude costomer?
Why you not call original supplier if only eight months old? (this rings alarm bells.....)
Or did call them but you damage it so it wasn't covered by warranty?
Fitted two fans on a fridge last week, normally they are about £24.00 for this type but these were £108.00 each!! With travel and vat it would be getting up to the price you quoted...Mostly found in Oxfordshire, UK :)

Re: Hefty Call out Charge
Something stinks on this one, why not call the original supplier of equipment asfar as cost goes what did he fit did you call him on a sunday as above says some bits are pricey or is it a case of it was never paid for in the begining if you aint happy with the bill why pay it as a wise old engineer i now says there is three sides to every story yours the other guy and the truth
