maytag GC2224GEKB SxS cooling issue

Hi all --I've just picked up a maytag GC2224GEKB (2006 model ) and have a small problem - the fridge side is getting no colder than 9o C -- I've checked all the usual - not frosted up, fan working, motorised vent door working, dust underneath but keep coming back with no luck so far.

Freezer side is running at -12 deg and seems OK but fridge at +9 deg

in comparison I have the same style but 2001 earlier model and Im achieving -16 on the freezer during the fan cycle and 3 deg on the fridge. both stats set to the same valve so I'd expect a simialr reading.

any thoughts on what I may have missed out thats not jumping out obvious?

it needs to ge to minus 15 on freezer before fridge cools enough
