carrier compressor problems
Hi everyone
I'm new to this site but from what ive read so far it sounds like you guys know your stuff. Ive got a carrier reefer(69NT40-511-312) with a recipient compressor that stays in a vacuum and doesnt reach its set point, i think it mite be the txv that is faulty but any other advise would be greatly appreciated.
Set Point -20
Return temp -0.2
Supply Temp -16,7
SMV 100% Open
Thanks in advance

Re: carrier compressor problems
no air flow, so blocked evaporator coil or fan clutch not working so no drive to fan in back, try these first.
if you take off the evaporator panel you'll see a big ice formationLast edited by gravy258; 10-01-2012 at 06:34 AM.

Re: carrier compressor problems
thanks for input guys, but after further investigation i found that the txv bulb was broken. replaced faulty part, reefer running fine now.
Anybody know where i can download th new 5#54 carrier software, the port i work at is not a registered carrier service centre so i cant get the software from carriers site?

Re: carrier compressor problems
I work with a compressor manufacturing company............... Anytime anything goes wrong other than with compressor , customers relate it to compressor faulty , not working ,defective etc . I thought it is a local phenomena but appears to be a common .
