    Reciever PRV vent pipe???

Whats the propper practice with these things, i assume they need piping outside of the plant room but is there any guidlines on where to and to what height and does it need a thingy on the end to stop it getting bugs water or stuff in it and blocking it up?

Did see a mushroom shaped brass thing for boiler vent pipes and wonder if something like this would be an idea...

or a whistle off a steam engine

boiler vent pipes are supposed to vent to a visible area, safely and discharge either against the wall or at low level as you have think if a relief valve discharges hot water at 3.5bar or gas at 28 bar then if you harm anyone then your up in court,do not pass go,or collect £200!!

Discharge is required to be at least 4.5mtrs above ground level and 6mtr from windows, doors or vents. The discharge should be terminated in a manner which prevents discharged refrigerant being sprayed directly at individuals nearby and prevents debris from entering and clogging the discharge port . A specially designed diffuser is recommended, such as a whisper-flow vent diffuser.

Just to be clear, this is a relief valve on a liquid reciever and not a boiler as i may have given the impression it was
