    Compressor Label R134a but the label inside the unit is R404a



    I will repair a Desmon chiller I see the label inside the unit it is R404a refrigerant but when I see the compressor the label is R134a. That why I cannot start to repair because I dont know what refrigerant I will use. Can you help me with this. Thank You

    has the compressor been changed before? what does the expansion valve say- probably best to contact the manufacturer for comfirmation

    In your ambient, it would most likely to be R-134a, Difference between compressor for 134 and 404 is displacement.
    Check the running pressure, it might help you.

    Check the system pressure after it has been standing off for some time,check your ambient temperature then use a comparator to get the pressure/temperature readings and you will then know what the system is charged with
