    Samsung SR-L627EV Fridge Freezer.

    Hi All

Can anybody help. On Christmas day our fridge /freezer decided it was the perfect time to breakdown. Both the fridge and freezer stopped working. Power is on and it displays the current temperatures and the light works and so does the warning if door is left ajar.

Not sure if the related but I did put a non samsung 3W bulb in the fridge compartment the day before to give some light.

I think we have had it 7-8 years from new. Seems stange that both cooling areas have gone at the same time

Wink Re: Samsung SR-L627EV Fridge Freezer.

Thank you for responses Install Monkey and tonto33.

We have had no bulb for a while. The correct bulb should be 11W

So I did not think this would cause a problem, the bulb came from a camping light and was the same fitting The pcb fuse is what exactly. Guessing control board. Does P stand for primary. I am not an electrician

When you suggest 'check thermal fuse'. How would I know this has gone. Would it be similar to normal fuses where I could see clearly it is burnt out?

Hi tonto33, is there just one thermal fuse? I thought there may be two., one for fridge and one for freezer. Both parts of the appliance are not cooling.

the pcb is the printed circuit board- was the camping light battery powered or low voltage- looks like ur light although having the same thread was rated for 3volt or 12volt not 240volt and thus blowing a 20mm glass fuse on the printed circuit board

I have checked the pcb. There was only one glass fuse soldered to the board, this looked fine. Does anybody know where the is/are the thermal fuse/s located on this type of fridge freezer
