    Compressor protection !!
Check the klixon and control module.
Check discharge temperature , and Superheat , poor superheat leads to lack of compressor cooling.

    Hi Banksi.
    Sorry to be so thick!
But are you saying the unit trips on klixon failure or continues to run but shows a Klixon alarm fault?
Obviously one is a completely different scenario from the other.

If it is tripping then there logically I would be a looking for a fault with the klixon.
Which once tripped for sufficient time would reset and repeat the whole cycle again and again.

It would be reasonable to expect the reset time required to increase and the run time to decrease.

If the controller is showing klixon failure but it is running.
At a guess I would be looking for a break in the relevant input circuit on the controller?

sorry grizzly- dencos have electric heater banks- the overheat stats are classed as klixxons on the display screen- check the belts, filters otherwise check to see if the heaters are auto or manual reset, reset it and maybe increase the temperature deadband to prevent the heaters kicking in as frequently

    Re: denco fault

    Thanks I'M.
You are absolutely correct as usual.
At least you let me down gently.
Now you mention it, my Grey cells have kicked in enabling me to remember.
I have come across the same on the old Sirocco and Toscana units.
In those cases the site engineers ended up changing the errant klixons.

It's my guess they have started to weaken with use (read disc loosing it's tempering).
    Banksyi.
Thanks to I'M, I would recommend that you change the (Metallic disc somewhere near the Heater Banks) which has their supply cable connected to it.

    Yes heater banks.

They are 1/2 klixons located on the heater bank in case something goes wrong and the heaters overheat.

If the airflow is there then i suspected the klixon is duff.

    Re: denco fault

The Kixon's are a auto reset switch, if they don't reset it normally means they have been strained due to excessive use.

Please bear in mind they are the last safety switch inline so if they trip there is a airflow issue.

    Re: denco fault

if its a BETA 2 Controller, the Klixon Alarm will also trip if the Vapac Drain pump siezes and cuts the fuze of the Beta 2 board.

unusual, but its caught a few guys out over the years.....
