Air Flow Measurement Q
All,
I'm looking to write a report on measuring air flow in two different circumstances
(1) Airflow over an evaporator coil in a cold store
(2) And airflow in an office that contains workers
So Far i've come up with two instruments i could use (Hot Wire Annometer, and a Vane Annometer)
My question for you is could you reccomend any other instruments that would be suitable for the job or any reccomendations on places to look for information/resources
~Thank you for your time
Johnny

Re: Air Flow Measurement Q
You could also use a Wilson Grid, but this is normally installed into the ductwork as a permanent fixture.

Re: Air Flow Measurement Q
Pitot static tube, duct traverse and manometer for total or branch air flows.

Re: Air Flow Measurement Q
Hi jonnyslim and welcome to our forum
I did some work for an air balancing consultancy a few years ago. I would use a velocity grid for the evaporator. Flow hood for the office outlets and return grills with possibly with pitot and static pressure measurements in ducting system if required. The velocity grid is accurate where the vane annometer and hot wire annometer is slightly old hack.
