    Daikin KRP4A

    Hoping someone can help me out here

    Wondering if someone can explain the Daikin product codes, specifically the wall controllers, FCU's & Condensing units?

    I'm also trying to find out which Daikin ducted models are compatible with KRP4A interface module? can you determine this based off the controller or does it depend on the unit?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Daikin KRP4A

    The Daikin Skyair products have a different communication protocol from the VRV systems.

    The KRP4 is compatible with the Skyair comms and the KRP2 is compatible with the VRV comms.

    The smaller Daikin splits (upto 6kW) have different protocols (KRP413A etc)

    Why not send an e-mail to your local Daikin office - I'm sure that they would be able to help.

    Re: Daikin KRP4A

    Thanks for the reply, i'm only really interested in the Daikin Ducted units not splits.

    I spoke with Daikin & was advised that the card is compatible with all F, M & K series FCU's but i'm sure this must be also restricted by the age of the unit??

    Can anyone explain the Daikin FCU product codes?

    Can you post the full model number of your fan coil?

    The KRP4 card can be connected to any fan coil which has P1P2 controller connections,
    Sky Air ducted indoor units FBQ or FDQ (high static) or VRV ducted indoors FXSQ, FXMQ & FXDQ .
    The card can not be connected split indoor units FDX/K ducted

    That's exactly what i was after thanks mate

    So regardless of age, it should work on these models? or do the model numbers somehow reflect age also?

    Re: Daikin KRP4A

    VRV Indoor Example FXSQ32P7V1:
    F = Indoor
    X = VRV
    S = Indoor type (S standard ducted)
    Q = Refrigerant type (410)
    32 = Capacity
    P7 = Series
    V1 = Single phase 50Hz

    Sky Air Example FBQ71C8V1
    F = Indoor
    B = Indoor type (standard ducted)
    Q = Refrigerant type (410)
    71 = Capacity
    C8 = Series
    V1 = Single phase 50Hz

    Re: Daikin KRP4A

    WOW that's awesome, much appreciated.

    So what about the current ducted system product range it's code is FDYQ

    F = Indoor
    D = ???????? if this was ducted wouldn't it be B as below?
    Y = ????
    Q = R410a

    Sorry for the million questions, is there a list of all these somewhere that i'm missing??

    Cheers for all your help
