    Hi all.

Anyone has experience in vacuuming the cobber tubes in foggy and cold weather, or should one avoid such condition?

    Please share your experience.

    Regards

    Sometimes you have no choice.
But the lower the ambient and the wetter the atmosphere that any install may of been subjected to.
The lower the vacuum needed to eradicate any moisture.

Purge the tubing with OFN and then carry out a triple evacuation, breaking the vacuum with OFN at each stage.

You can also heat the system with hot water or even with a torch.

That will require an experienced engineer or the compressor will burnout.

You will need a hat, scarf ,warm jacket and a pair of gloves.
And a torch with a yellow lens.

    Hello

You should use a steam chart and read off the depth of vacuum for the ambient temperature at the coldest part of the system. You wont be able to pull a satisfactory vacuum if any pipework is below 0c.

There's no need to pull such a deep vacuum in hot weather, its a waste oftime.

Triple vac just speeds the process up, it wont increase the depth of the vacuum.
