Re: braided hose
i heard that u need to use unbraided hose for nh3 as braided fibres can get eroded and clog the system up,also unbraided is better for 0 to -40 range

Re: braided hose
Use it a lot, makes a great drain line, flexible and cheap - just find the nearest garden hose and a quick "trim" gives you whatever length you need.
On cars it tends to leak refrigerant a little over the years though.

Re: braided hose
it has no resale value and saves on vibration eliminators, you only need 6mm wall thickness insulation as polpypropylene has a better u value- so its cheaper on installs of small splits upto 5kw,and its user friendly

Re: braided hose
In some instances, I have recommended changing out stainless tubing to braided hose in order to reduce vibration levels. Most recently, on a large Kobelco's oil injection pump which is driven off the outboard end of the rotor.
