    Help with City Multi

Hoping for a moment of genius from someone out there. Went to site to commission VRF City Multi today only to find that subbies hadnt listed the branch connections for 26 indoor units. All pipeowrk now behind plastered walls, floorboards etc.. any ideas how to check which unit goes to which BC box connection?

I can't think of any easy way out of it .
If you have the maintenance tool you could energise the solenoids in the bc for cooling on one branch at a time and see which coil temp starts to drop.
Then hopefully the installer applied some sort of logic to the installation which will give you a path to follow.
Other than that you will just have to start with one unit and try various address until you get lucky ,but only have IC and branch address on The one your starting with and all others disconnected until you move on unit by unit .
Best of luck have had it myself in the past another set of hands and ears is advised preferably someone who is familiar with the set up.

    Cheers

Not too up on Mitsi VRF commissioning but the installation begs the question about what you will do in the future regarding maintenance - especially if there is a leak

have u paid the subbies, they may be hanging on till final payment prior to releasing the port numbers.
alternativly have they wrote in the control box cover the connections, otherwise your gonna spend a bit of time rebooting indoors until u guess the port connection, as a last resort get mitsi/kooltech to comission with m tool and bill the subbies!!

Installer should have all these database, autocad drawings from design tool for every unit they installed.
I hope this is a UK Mitsubishi Electric standard I beleived.
Aside from who pay who, information should be at someone else hand.
If you do not have maintenance tool and design tool database, then you have to spend more time on BC to figure out.

    1. Have they allocated a BC port address to each fan coil? - Check rotary switch SW14.
    2. Has the refrigerant been released?
    3. How many outdoor/BC controllers are there?
