flood back
i had a quick visual at a ice cream display cabinet freezer today while working on site. it use hot gas to defrost, (not reversing valve type). it has a accumulator. when it went it to defrost the comp (dome) turned fully white and slow disappeared. it turned off for its drip
time and restarted cooling agian. the customer has had it for about 3 years and has never missed a beat. is this normal? or should i mind my own business?

Re: flood back
Corkman iam not asking for a smart arse answer. There are two types of hot gas defrost i have seen. Reversing valve type and hot gas bypass from the discharge used on commercial cabinet freezers.
