Re: Specific heat capacity of Wine
Depending on the type of alcohol (Ethanol) in the wine the Spacific Heat will be between 2.3kj/kg/K and 2.73kj/kg/K.
With the alcoholic content of most wines around the 12-13% mark and the rest made up of water, (4.19kj/kg/K), sugar and additives, you need to calculate the total volume of water and the total volume of alcohol to be cooled, then apply the specific heats for each.
Sugars and additives may vary between 0.25% (Dry White) to 1.1% (Sweet White) by volume so you need to allow for this.
Without knowing the exact make up of each wine though, we are guessing to some extent.
Better just to drink and enjoy
