dryer fault
HI Guys
After some advice regarding atlas copco air dryer,looking for help to point me in right direction regarding dryer freezing up causing restriction when on line to air compressor,unit holds 16kg r404 twin fans coming in comp running , not seeing bubbles in sight gass. just thinking where else should be looking, cheers

If there are two fans, than you should look for head pressure control.
There should be a freezing protection, .

Check the low pressure, maybe the hgbp valve (or valves) needs a tweek up a bit. If it does ajdust it with no air flow through the dryer. Regarding freezing protection, I`m currently working on an Atlas Copco FD 850 with 24kg of 404a dryer that had a fan hole the condensor. The only protection was a HP switch so the compressor kept running with no refrigerant until the internal switch tripped, when it cooled down it restarted only to overheat again then cool down and restart and so on until the pump gave out. I`ve fitted LP and high temp switches to prevent future problems.

I have recently passed my f-gas 2079,but not being working with these dryers long and am finding them a bit tricky at moment. thanks for your advice guys
