    Frick screw bearing damage

Hoping someone can assist, with analyizing main roller bearing damage in a Frick screw
    on ammonia.

I have previously seen an article on Frick oil filters also showing damaged bearings &
    cause of bearing damage.

    Thanks Ranger

    Hi Ranger
What is the damage to the bearings.
Have you asked a bearing supplier for their opinion sometimes they will help.

    Paul,
Damage to drive end bearing male rotor is a little unusual.
It has a spiralling heavy wear pattern.

I could ask bearing supplier, but sometimes difficult if you did'nt buy bearings
off them, as we are using genuine frick bearings.

    Thanks for advise

    Hi ,
Do you check the coupling of compressor and drive? it should be adjusted according to the manual . may be the angle of spacer of coupling is not correct.
    Regards

In our cases, we mostly see damage to the male thrust bearings first. Also, I highly doubt that a bearing supply house provides genuine Frick bearings, which to my knowledge are SKF. In my experience, you need to be careful of avoid using jobber bearings as Frick may have specified a certain internal clearance (C3, C4's) or other specifics which you simply cannot decipher by reading the bearing number off the race.

Diego is not a problem, Frick does not separate low and high.
