expansion valve for evaporator
hello everyone
how can i select the correct expansion valve for the water cooling tank evaporator
system 1
lenght for each steel pipe 6m
thickness 3mm
OD 1 1/4''
total pipe in parallel 30
system 2
lenght for each stainless steel 316L pipe 6m
thickness 1.5mm
OD 1''
total pipe in parallel 20
thanks in advance....

Re: expansion valve for evaporator
First you need to know the refrigerant capacity and the operating conditions. The capacity depends on the temperatures of the fluids, mass flows,...give me thermodynamic data.
To make progress is never good enough, I want to do better and better and better

Re: expansion valve for evaporator
actually i am electrical engineer but new to refrigeration industry, what is mean by thermodynamic data. Could u pls explain?
i need to cool down the acid in aluminium industry,
acid tank 4ft wide, 25ft lenght, 9ft deep
acid temperature 30dec
i need to cool down to 20dec
if for the 6m, 1 inch, 1.5 thickness stainless steel 316L pipe
1.how long that i need for the evaporator design
2.the expansion valve and the total cooling capacity?
thanks for reply.

Re: expansion valve for evaporator
First at all I need the sensible specific heat (cp) kJ/kg.K on SI units is needed or in another units, then I make the conversion. Also I need to know the time you need yo cool from 30 to 20ºC.
To make progress is never good enough, I want to do better and better and better

Re: expansion valve for evaporator
I would suggest that you employ a refrigeration engineer, to design and build the system.
