I was just wondering what other peoples opinion was regarding the newest version of MIS3005v2.

It is good that we will be achieving some standardisation in terms of design, but costs will increase due to the additional work required to satisfy the MCS requirements.

It may also mean that more smaller operators rely on umbrella schemes operated by the likes of Nu Heat and Ice Energy to avoid the hassle and admin costs.

I am also interested to know whether anyone has any recommendations regarding what heat loss calc anyone else is using that is compliant with BS EN 12831 as required by the standards.

With the requirement to come into force that the HP must cover 100% of the heating load for 99% of the hours above a certain temp, it may impact GSHP manufacturers who would have traditionally relied on an immersion due to single phase supplies preventing more coverage. If the property now requires 2 units it will be much more cost effective to go 2 ASHP, which might be a retrograde step.
