    Liquid line size

I want to install 30,000 btu wall mounted mini split unit in my home.
The recomemded refrigerant pipes sizes by the manufacturer are as followings:
    Liquid line 1/2"
    suction line 5/8"

the refrigerant pipes which are available have diffrent liquid line 3/8"

is this a problem for the unit.? The problem i have that i can't change the piping in home.

    Please advise me.

    Thanks

    Re: Liquid line size

If it needs a 1/2 liq line and you only have a 3/8 line then your in trouble.
This tells me ur replacing the system,is the new system suitable for replacement technology,ie daikin rzq or mitsi power inverter?
Best to run new lines whatever the inconvenience, flushing the lines out can have repercussions!

1/2" + 5/8" is a bit odd. But meh, they'll never answer any questions.

    Your right there twice Paul,

Especially the second, so many hit & runners come here expecting a quick fix & never return to answer the thread questions, which are obviously needed to help them !

The units are from TOSHIBA (RAS-30SKP2B2), the gas is R22.

    Re: Liquid line size

OK, I'm willing to try this again.

You mentioned one make and model of an A/C, what's the other one?
Is the toshiba model you gave the one already fitted, or the one you are looking at getting installed?
What's the other make and model you either have, or are going to fit?

Common sizes in split systems (edit: with 5/8" suction lines), are 1/4" + 5/8", or, 3/8" + 5/8"

    Hi Nike

you missed the bit that made sense mate 'hit & runners' meaning many come here 1 problem, get the info they need & never return

not that they just don't come back to give enough info to get there 1 problem resolved
