    westinghouse RJ523VR

Just after some help. I'm going to have a look at a mates fridge. I have never worked on domestics before. The fault is that the fridge is freezing every thing in the fridge even with the temp set high on the digital controller. Are these new fridges like the old ones which use a mechanical damper to close off air from the freezer? I have have been told that there is a test mode to? how do you carry out the self diagnostics tests? any help would be much appreciated.

Hi there savoc, we really need to know the brand of fridge and it's approximate age. Also, is it a side by side, or freezer top/fridge bottom or freezer bottom. Lots of them now have electronics that control air flow to fridge compartment..Mike.
