    Pressure transmitter , connection?

    hi,

We have installed a DX AHU, with external condensers.

On the condensers we ve got a Pressure Transmitter which needs to be installed on the suction line (according to manuals) to read refrigerant line pressure and operates Fans accordingly.

From what I know, pressure transmitter converts pressure into linear electrical output signal.

So in a few words, depending on the pressure of the refrigerant pipe line the condenser fans starts and stops accordingly.

    True?

    thanks,

    Z

if your transducer is controlling the condenser fans then it should be fitted on the (thinner) liq line sometimes on the discharge line too, check the installation manual or if in doubt fit a schraeder stubb on both lines incase u have problems when comissioning

Yes, you are right, to keep condensing pressure constant you have to install pressure transmitter on condenser's gas header, close to inlet into your condensers.

thanks guys. it is fitted on the high pressure pipe line and controlling the fans just fine.

    Cheers
