Single Phasing in Compressor

Hello,

can someone explain the step by step scenario of consequences when there is a single phasing?

I guess, the compressor motor will overheat and the motor protection module will stop the compressor. But once the motor cools down, will the compressor will start again (even though there is single phasing condition)?

hi if the phase goes down while the compressor is running ,it will keep running until safeties cut it out,ie the overload because it will be pulling high amps , but if the compressor is stationary and the phase is down then it will just sit there humming,and it won,t start and the the other 2 phases or coils will get very hot and pop
