    Need help to figure out the difference

    Hi all,
    I'm looking for a 2 HP, and a local vendor propose a 2-1/4 horse Bristol H23B30QDBE as shown in his spec below. But when I doublechecked the spec from Bristol (below as well), the compressor has a BTUH of 30100. If I got it rite, 30100 is approx 11.8 HP or 8.8 kilowatts. I could have probably missed out something here....

    Another question:
    @45/100 - @45/130: Do these values on the Bristol catalogue refer to the compressor capacity at the SST of 45 degree and SCT at 100 or 130 degree?

    Please advice, thks

    Bristol compressor
    Model: H23B30QDBE

    Vendors' spec:
    ===========
    CV: 2-1/4
    Capacity in Watts at +5°C: 6,666
    Capacity in Watts at 0°C: 5,326
    Capacity in Watts at -5°C: 4,147
    Capacity in Watts at -10°C: 3,122

    Spec below is from Bristol catalogue:
    ===========================

    @45/130
    ---------
    Capacity BTU/H: 30100
    Capacity WATTS: 8832
    Motor input watts: 3100
    ERR/COP BTU/WH: 9.7
    ERR/COP W/W: 2.8

    @45/100
    ---------
    Capacity BTU/H: 37626
    Motor input watts: 2503
    EER BTU/WH: 15.0

    hi KKwong0.
    it would seem the 45/100 and 45/130 are ratings in degrees F. SST/ SCT.

    Hi kkwong0.
    you are confusing yourself with SI metric( watts )and old imperial ratings( Btus ).
    The Bristol model number gives a nominal rating at a guess, the 23 is nominal 2.3 HP, the 30 is nominal btu x 1000 rating. Depending on SCT the drawn motor watts will change,
    what was the original compressor rated capacity in either watts or Btu's, what are the operating conditions design SST /SCT.
