Refrigerated display cabinets
Hi,
I want to start a discussion on Refrigerated display cabinets (open showcase without door).
For cooling load calculation how to calculate the infiltration load from the front where it is open.
I normally take 50% of the total load as the infiltration.
Are there any specific methods?
Any suggestions??
Regards,

Re: Refrigerated display cabinets
Hi there,
This is a very difficult area.
I have read some research reports about the design of this kind of open door cabinets.
One was founded by Sainsbury's (supermarket chain in the UK) which was very interesting. They used heat cameras to detect the air escaping the unit and also they changed the structural design to minimize this escape.
I have no certain solution for your question I am afraid, but if you do some research you can find very good findings on this subject.
