    Daikin altherma bottom plate heater

Hi guys fitted the bottom plate heater the other day on the condensor base, followed instructions but was unsure as to where the trace heater wire goes, the instructions did not seem to show it.

eventually we put it at the bottom of the coil at the back of the condensor. is this correct?

for some reason i can not upload the installation manual which i have!

    cheers lee

You are correct in what you have done. I fitted one of the new base plate heater mats and cord a few weeks ago for a customer.....and I agree about the instructions.....not the easiest to follow

hi frank there was three engineers looking at these instructions trying to follow Cord B i think and the illustration just shows it going out the back of the unit and leaving hanging in the air HAHA
all three of us were like this has got to be a joke.

Well looks like i put it in the right place thanks for the reply frank

    Off topic a tad:
What power rating is this pad relative to the heat-pump delivery rating?

Wondering what this beast does to the COP of the system.
