Help please - American Frost Freezer not chilling

Hi I hope someone can help. I have a Beko CA7014FFX frost free fridge freezer which in the last day is not freezing or chilling food. The fridge light was coming on but there was no noise from the unit at all. I read various posts online which pointed towards either a faulty thermostat or faulty timer. I removed the timer and manually turned this with a screwdriver. When I put it back in the unit started humming again and the fan in the freezer has started spinning. Left it on for a few hours but nothing is chilling or freezing ? I have good DIY skills so feel I could fix this if I knew what else to troubleshoot. Any help would be much appreciated, Callum
