    Admiral side by side

    Hi,
I have an Admiral GC2224GEKB which is making a clonking noise. After further investigation I found a plastic valve in the fridge compartment operated by a motor that appears to let cold air into the fridge. The motor turns but the mechanism appears to slip allowing the valve to spring closed resulting in the clonking noice. Can anyone advise on what to do? Am I correct in thinking this is an air control damper, and if so can I simply replace it to solve the problem?

    Re: Admiral side by side

thanks for your help. I had found this part on the web, but I was put off buying it because the picture looks slightly different. It looks very similar but the motor is on top in my fridge rather than on the side in the pictur in the link. could this be an updated part that will still fit OK?
