    RS 45 (R-434-A) vs r-404-A? For R-22 phaseout?

    Hi,
I'd like to know your opinions about replacement of R-22 system working (-10 ºC to 36ºC) to R-404-a or Rs 45.
    MY opinion is clear:
1.-) We know for several years how R-404-a is working, (not the same for Rs 45).
2.-) Big companies sell R-404-a for several years (not the same for Rs 45)
3.-) Big manufacturers (Bitzer, Heatcraft, Danfoss... give performance data for their products with R-404-a (not the same for Rs-45).
4.-) Everybody knows that glide for R-404-a is 0,9, Glide for Rs-45 its said that is 2,8 much bigger than 0,8 recognised by manufacturer...
5.-) R-404-a price is better than Rs 45
6.-) BUT, HERE COMES THE PROBLEM:
You need much extra operations in order to achieve a correct phase out of R22 to R-404-a, than Rs-45.
So, the offer is finally much expensive with R-404 a than with rs 45.
So, What to do if my customer is only looking for the cheaper option?
Thank you for giving me your opinions

Why don't you use R422D from DuPont? To use R404A or RS45 you need to ensure pressure rating of system can cope with higher pressures of these refrigerants.

    Hi,

if you recycle that R22, then the operation is not that expensive, as you have until end of 2014 to make a good use of it.

    regards,

    Nando.

    Hi ,
I don't like replacement to R 422 D because of glide 4,5 K i s an important glide (i think), and i don't want to think i f this means a problem in the installation. I prefer to face a problem concerning pressure then glide...
Hi Fri3Oil System, i agree with you about recycling, but in the two cases it's a "must" isn't it?
