    Trane system

Hi All looking for some advice on a Trane YCD 75 Roof top package unit.
The issue is that the system is struggling to cope with current conditions in a kitchen. I am looking to upgrade the air volume entering the kitchen. Currently out the grills I am receiving 2mls. The system is using a factory fitted 1.2kw motor. The maximum that it can be up graded to is a kW. This is what I was thinking of installing. But has any one done this procedure? And what results have they had? Also what size would I need to upgrade the air intake grill to. Any advice will be appreciated

    Cheers

    Hi
not so simple, when raising your air flow you will be probably be lowering your cooling output, evry unit has design limits ,the coil is good only to a designed air flow!you should take some mesurments ,like delta t ,on the coil ,refrigerant pressures ,this will give us a good sense of how ,your current unit is working .
    good luck
