Funny tube on the evap
I've been given a disfunctional Kide walk in (but thats another story)
I took the panels off the evap to clean out years of crud and noticed a
coiled tube like a Cap tube solderd between the flow and return just
before they enter the evap, any thoughts as to it's purpose.IMGP1124.JPG

In the expansion device corner, with a length of 9' and an internal diameter of .054" .......The Capillary Tube.
In the defrost corner with a interval of 4 times each 24 hours and termination temperature of 12*C is........ Hot Gas.
Cap tube goes up the suction pipe for a cheeky bit of subcooling. Top pipe goes to hot gas defrost solenoid.
