    NH3 pressure receivers' selection.

    Hello Guys,

I'm looking for diagrams/methods to select pressure receivers (horizontal/vertical liquid separators, liquid receivers, oil receivers etc.) in the ammonia refrigeration installations. It would be also great, if you had the diagrams with SI units.

I'm also interested in pipe diameter diagrams for ammonia installations.

I've heard something that compressor manufacturers (Grasso, Gram, Stal, Sabroe, Frick) possess/possessed diagrams for pressure receivers and piping selection.

Maybe someone from you could send me some diagrams, reference books etc.

    I would be grateful.

Many, many thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Regards,

    Jacek

you can download Dircalc from Danfoss. This is excellent software for pipe sizing

what you want to do ? built those or you want to chose right one

    in very brief writing
    In large system
calculate your full load ( % 10 entry goods for each room)
chose your compressor with adding safety factors-
chose your condenser with adding safety factors

calculate how much you need liquid refrigeration for each room in one hour
about %30 of that is a your running time capacity for your pump ,chose your pump

liquid receivers should have enough capacity to pump down your separators liquid to that.

    Hi,

Pressure receivers mean not only ammonia liquid receivers. It means also horizontal/vertical separators, intermediate-pressure vessels, oil receivers etc.
