    water flow measurement on stad valve



    Hi evryone.Ive been recording water flow on stad valve last week when adjusting the valve on shut position the meter said error pressure too large.when i open the valve the meter said to small pressure.Anyone come across that before.

    stad valve on return? if you close valve will measure high back pressure. then when open could measure low flow for number of reasons pumps etc for correct measurement dont you want the stad valve open? whats it for condenser water?

    Its on the fan coil unit on return.its just i cannot get a reading on some of them.to low or to large when open or shut.

    With the valve closed any readings taken are pointless, no flow is happening across the orifice.

    When open if you do not have a sensible reading then you should check that the valves have been correctly sized and correctly positioned.
