Howden wrv screw compressor
Hi guys i,ve been asked to inspect thrust bearings and change shaft seal ,and i don,t know what thread and the length of jacking bolts are and seal puller threads on howden wrv screws and i be greatful for any info , i have the manual but not the tool kit sizes or threads, thankyou

It's impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious...

Ghaz,
If you have a manual the thread sizes should be in torque table for each bolt size & its location.
The newer machines are a mix of metric & imperial , so its a guessing game.
What vintage is it ?

its a 204 the manual i have is an installation one with thrust settings

Ghaz,
Newer compressors as follows
1 metre lenths of 6,8,10,12,16 mm threaded rod with approx 6 nuts , washers.
Thrust bearings inner races secured by plate & 3 bolts
Thrust housing gland plate secured by 3 bolts & locking wire.
Pay particular attention to torque settingas it must be correct.
Older compressors
Same as above but 1/4 ,5/16/,3/8", 1/2", 5/8 UNC
Thrust bearings inner races secured by locknut & washer
