    Specific heat capacity for saturated vapor and liquid



    Hello everyone,

    I would like to get an advice about basic thermodynamics. Could someone please tell me how can I calculate the specific heat capacity of saturated vapor and saturated liquid (pure refrigerant i.e 134a )at specific temperature and pressure. Can I derive the equation from the specific heat capacity of the ideal gas?

    Do you have available REFPROP from NIST ? That is probably the easiest way to get the data. If not you can contact one of the refrigerant manufacturers.

    Hi everyone,

    First, I would like to thank doctor ***** and brian_uk for the suggestions. At the moment, I do not have refrop and the coolpack seems to be very nice. But the thing is, I am trying to model a simple refrigeration systems using matlab, and if I am using other software to generate data for the refrigerants, I am not sure how can I adapt those values as the systems is temperature dependant. This is why I am trying to find the equations that can generate those value at any temperature given.
