    OIL Type

I am changing the oil on a semi hermetic compressor. The recommended oil is a grade 68 POE for 407c. Can anyone inform me the problems with adding a 32 POE grade oil?

    Re: OIL Type

The 32 will be a lower viscoty, it would be best used in colder enviroments or if the pumps running cold. I`ve come across problems with initial start ups where cold thick oil causes drag and excessive current draw with the possible results of o/loeds tripping . Most recips` I know of use a 68 or even a 100 if conditons are really hot
