how to calculate EER ?
Dear all
in aircondtioners how to calculate EER ??

Divide the rated output in cooling in kW by the total power input in kW. It will give you a ratio of performance.
You do the same calculation in heating at the design heating condition and it is called CoP.
It is not an indication of true performance, though. Just a benchmark.

Basic formula is output BTU/Hr divided by Watts = EER
Example Total net BTU is 93,350 BTUH
Net power 10,740 Watts
93,350/10,740=8.7 EER (BTU per Watt)
