Chiller Capacity/Sizing
Hi, have been reading the forums for a while but this
is my first time posting
I'm not a refrigeration engineer, but due to the closet
engineers being 150km away from my town I have
taught myself the fundementals of refrigeration over
the last couple of years so I can repair urgent breakdowns
if required.
I was hoping someone might be able to advise me on what is
required when sizing a walk in chiller. (or direct me to some
literature)
I have a walk in chiller that had the plant removed from it
a few years ago and I am wanting to refit it as a learning
project.
The room is
2.4m high, 2.4m wide, 2.0m deep.
100m walls
The room would generally be used to hold
venison, fish (and beer) so would not be
holding a specific product.
Would like to have a product temp of 0 - 1 degree Celcius
Any help would be appreciated
Great Site!
Shaun

Re: Chiller Capacity/Sizing
You might want to give COOLPACK software a try to simulate it yourself.

Re: Chiller Capacity/Sizing
I will have a look at coolpack.
If I was wanting to figure it out by hand how would I go about it?
Would be good to know as I won't learn much from typing numbers
into a piece of software
cheers
