Martin Hou equation of state for 134a

    Hello everyone,

I am trying to calculate thermodynamic properties using Martin Hou equation using spread sheet. At the moment, I know the Martin Hou equation of state for the Pressure-volme-temperature behaviour. Could anyone suggest or advise me how can I calculate the enthalpy and entropy for the saturated liquid, vapor and also superheated properties from the Martin Hou equation of state.

    Thank you.

Mate, why do you want to do it hard way? Go to http://webbook.nist.gov/chemistry/fluid/. Pick up HFC 134a and state the conditions you want. It will do it for you. Martin Hou is OK, but has limited applicability. The calculations on that web site are based on Tillner-Toth-Baehr EOS which picks up a whole heap of terms from a basket and fits the expt. data. It is a fundamental EOS starting from Helmholtz free energy of ideal and real components. Also now that EOS is taken as world standard for HFC 134a.
