Home Fridge: greater efficiency with water jacket on outside coils?
I read an article saying that the efficiency of an ordinary home fridge could be improved
a great deal by putting the compressor on top of the unit and adding insulation.
What about putting a cool water jacket around the coils on the back of the unit?

Ron, this can be done though reducing condenser temperature too much will lower the pressure inside the tubes and fridge will run less efficient..Mike.
