    Thumbs down Mitsubishi Electric spares

With Lossnay units we have been quoted a huge price for filters on a LGH100, are there any substitutes that might be used as it is an exorbitant price for a bit of filter media!!!

Have you tried more than one supplier? Worth double checking that they're quoting the filters and not the core as well.

    Had this ourselves OP.

New Filters for a 100 unit, quoted £450!

Took old filters to a local manufacturer of Air Handling Filters and they quoted £14.50 each, minimum order of £100.

Don't spose they're quite as good as the genuine article but hey, who cares? Do you really think anyone will be able to tell/measure the difference in the real world?

Buy a roll of media filter and make them up yourself.

    Re: Mitsubishi Electric spares

Be careful. Depending on the filter you are after the Losnnay core, typically known as the filter is made of a specific media made from paper. This gives it it's heat exchange properties. Putting something else in means that it will not work the same. The filters are very, very expensive but should not really need replacing unless they have never been cleaned. There should not be any "filter media" as such as the Lossnay does not use a traditional filter.

Give your client the option of genuine supplier parts or after market stuff, then the problems are the clients not yours.
