    Re: Site's New Look.

Hate it. I was never a fan of the green fridgey guy (shown on the right of this forum), but never said anything about it before.
But now it's joined by some bearded guy in the blue shirt on the left kissing the forums like some kind on homo erotic thing, and the forum in just grey, grey, grey.

Of course it may be the newness but it doesn't seem as user friendly as before. I think it may prove to be less of a hit as hoped..

I don't much care about looks, I'm more into how it works.

So far it seems more difficult to navigate. Maybe I'll get used to it.

Also, members should look around the FAQ located here http://www.refrigeration-engineer.co...=vb3_board_faq

Gotta agree. Preferred the old look and was certainly much easier to navigate. It is what it is now though

Yep, feeling a little boxed in here. Something like driving on the open road then placed into city traffic and in the wrong lane at night, not sure if i can get used to this format! Where have the icons gone? Sorry Webram, i'm not a city person. I like the open spaces.. Mike.

I would like to see the home countries displayed like they were until a few weeks ago. Not a necessity, but pleasant to know without going to their profile.

    Hey Guys!

Like Gary says we are all going to adapt. The Web Ram is still adding some more features for us to love the site. I cherish the idea of change at least it shows some level of being dynamic.

With the last modifications on the colors and when the today posts + the other new features appear again on the quick links it will be very nice for me.
The rest is only a question of adaptation to the new web page with improvements. In a few day we will not remember the previous version since this will be better.

Some say a change is as good as a rest, but also say if it aint broke! Still a great site, I think that it will be an improvement it just might take a few of us a couple of years to get used to it.

It's a "Portrait of Dorian Gray" thing, only in reverse. The picture keeps getting better looking, while I keep getting uglier.

I have a picture at home that keeps showing my former beauty... but my face shows all the parties/beers/women/etc... I used to say I am the portrait, and my picture is Dorian Gray's face...
The new site looks much better and complete. I just think it will take us some time to get used to it, like with all changes. Regarding the navigation, let's give them some time to fix everything.

If you go into your 'Profile' there is a button, top right, where you can 'customise my profile'
Here, you can change the colours for the background, text, etc.

It's a security thing. As you may have noticed, we have been inundated by spammers, so the Boss is working on a fix at present to try and stop future spamming. The location thing is central to keeping them out.
I'm hopeful it will be re-instated at a later date.

Hi Lawrie, just cruising through the days. Upgraded browser to 3.6.13, same version as Brians, but it made no change to the way these pages are displayed. There is a young computer whizz i'll catch up with one day who can sort out small issues like this.

Hi Mike, just loaded all three browsers, firefox, chrome and explorer and see attached. Other than some style differences they are all the same. Only difference I have is that firefox is far faster.
