    Re: RC Planes

Never got into the planes but have had a few choppers, started with micros and the like and progressively got bigger ,then made the leap from battery to fuel.Been flying this for a while now ,almost killed my neighbor on it's first outing.
Nose to tail 3 foot ,tip to tip on the rotors 4 foot , does about 60mph.Good fun but f cking dangerous if you're not concentrating

I could never overcome the ground effect, then if engine cut out... gravity takes over. Decided model planes was the go, at least with a bit of height and skill, landing in one piece without power is possible. Was involved with model aero club, lots of planes and helos, prangs and tears

Better get used to having fun so
Problem is as they get bigger so do the repair bills
And comfy footwear helps ,not with the flying ! But with the search when it craps itself and falls out of the sky

I never messed with RC planes, but I was heavy into R/C sail boats.

    Re: RC Planes

Correct and right. A lot going on 10+ channels .Haven't lost mine yet but have come close on more than one occasion , crashed it loads though ,falls out of the sky on a regular basis . But great fun all the same.
If mine was insured i'd have lost my no claims bonus a long time ago.

    Re: RC Planes

I would recommend putting your contact details on it somewhere maybee you will get it back if it goes. Then again a rogue chopper on the loose may cause some damage so its probably best not to leave any evidence.
