Panasonic ac
Hi all, never really done much with ac but was asked to have a quick look at this for a customer. There are 2 units side by side so was able to compare.
Panasonic single split, R22. Model CU-80C52HP.
Unit was being used in heating mode, but not producing much heat.
I think the 4way valve must be allowing discharge vapour to enter into suction line. The pipe leaving the evaporator (outdoor) was frosty up to valve, then from the valve the pipe was hot right through the accumulator back to the compressor. There was also a loud hiss coming from the valve.
Liquid line pressure = 5 bar
Suction pressure = 3.5 bar
Ambient temp was around minus 3c.
What do you guys think?
