    Question R -404 verses R- 507



    Can anybody Tell me why R-507 seams to be loseing ground to R-404a? R-507 being an azeotrope, seems to me that would be reason enough to be the better choice.

    I prefer R507, but it seems all precharged gear comes in R404a, so manufacturers are making it more predominant. Probably something to do with duponts marketing.

    Most transport refrigeration equipment manufacturers prefer 404 too... damnit.
